To ensure an effective campaign, these organizations are currently clustered into five working groups that handle the different aspects of the campaign.There is a team leader in each of the working groups. The working groups are:
- Campaigns;
- Litigation and related concerns;
- Resource Mobilization;
- Media and Communication;
- Community Mobilization.
The FOYS, collectively and through its membership, has extensive experience in direct human rights work, advocacy, environmental justice campaigns, natural resource management, public interest litigation as well as more generally in establishing effective community-based capacity building programmes and processes. It works together with the relevant government departments and also the community members from the three affected districts-Bondo, Siaya and Busia.
